About Photos for Humanity

As Light and Love Home volunteers working on worldwide charity services, we have the opportunity to meet many people from different countries and regions. We get to learn about their lives while listening them sharing about their personal stories and experiences. We may have differences in our nationalities, skin colours, cultures, and lifestyles. We may not be able to communicate with words but can only greet each other with smiles. Regardless of these differences, when we search deeper into our souls, we will realize that we are the same in many ways. Each person is unique and equally valuable. We all have a broad range of feelings and the thirst from within our spirits. We all have dreams, ambitions, and the desire to learn and be successful. Only the resources and opportunities provided to us are far from the same. Therefore when we meet, we do not see each other as foreign strangers but desire to be connected as fellow humans.

The experiences on these journeys continue to linger in our hearts. Many images become vividly imprinted in our memories, even if no photographs are taken. However, in order to share with you what we have seen and felt, we decided to take photos of people and scenes from the different corners of the world. We want to capture the moments that can cause you to ponder life beyond your immediate surroundings, and to embrace our humanity by caring for someone from afar.

We have organized photo exhibitions at various locations but they can only reach certain demographics of people at fixed periods of time. To address these limitations, we decided to create this website to reach to a much wider audience. Through Photos for Humanity, we aim to bring the hearts of people closer together by facilitating mutual understanding, compassion, and care between seemingly distant groups. After all, this is what God has intended for all of us, that we can be as one family. In the fellowship of His love, we can share our blessings to one another. May we have the same mission to care for humanity with one heart.

作為光愛中心世界慈惠服務的義工，我們有機會探望不同國家和地區，親身了解他們的生活，傾聽他們的經歷和故事。無論是什麼國藉、膚色、語言文化和生活習慣，能夠交談或只能微笑，原來我們都是一樣，每個都獨特，每個都尊貴，我們都有心靈的渴求、理想、豐富的感情、求知的慾望，只是我們有的資源和機會都不相等。所以與各人碰面，我們不會感到陌生或另類，我們渴想交流。

行程的經歷，往往留在心中，就算沒有拍下照片，影像已存記，但為要讓你看見，所以開始把沿路的情景，人和事拍下來，讓你也看見不同角落的人和情，好叫你的心一樣被觸動，不在自己的世界裡，在足未出戶時，已胸懷世界，關心自己以外的人和事。

舉辦攝影展覽，只在一地、一時，為要延續、擴展到更多人，我們想到設立相片網站，我們切想將人的心拉近，交流大家的情感，彼此同情、彼此關心，更多接納，更多幫助，這是神賦予人心靈中高貴的特質與想望，全地一家，在神愛的團契中分享、蒙福。讓我們一同看，一同關心，一同傳揚。
