The photo selected for the exhibit poster was taken in Yangon, Myanmar at a dock where workers manually transported gravel from ship to land. Carrying large loaded baskets, they had to cross over the “bridge” countless times everyday. Their work was tiresome, repetitive, and draining. This scene represented their lives.
When looking at the “bridge” of this photo, I thought about another bridge. It is not a physical bridge but one that is made by love. Thus, this thought inspired the theme of this exhibit: Human to Human. The objective is to connect people from seemingly different worlds together by mutual understanding and care.
We are thankful for the incredible feedback from the students and the public for the exhibit hosted at the Fukien Secondary School. It was a great opportunity to share the stories through photos and the two presentations. The students may not had travelled outside Hong Kong much, perhaps only to a few typical tourist destinations. However through the exhibit, they could learn more about the needs of other people. By touching their hearts with these stories, we hope to inspire them to love, strive for social justice, and join us to do good works for our world together.
這是在緬甸一個建材生產工場拍攝的一輯照片，選了其中一張作香港攝影展覽的宣傳海報。
看著工人背著沉重的筐子，裡面盛滿了小石塊，走過木板搭起的「橋」。每天他們多次往返，一點不容易、不輕鬆，也沒有什麼樂趣，但這就是他們的生活。
看著，就想起這個主題「Human to Human，用愛做長橋」，意思是通過相展，把似乎不關連的兩個世界裏的人，連在一起，去認識、了解及關懷。
今次承蒙福建中學借出場地，不單為學生，也開放給公眾；既有相片展覽，也有分享會，實在是一個很好的機會。
學生和各方朋友反應良好，他們雖不太了解香港以外的世界（七天旅遊團，或什麼自由行，怎樣也不會接觸到的世界），但今次是個開眼界的好機會，看見別人的需要，自己的幸福。這樣的一步，會幫助人的心動起來，暖起來，溶化更多，讓人性的真愛、正義、良善可以發揮出來！
